Participate in a Young Caregivers Social Media Campaign

About the Opportunity

The Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) is planning a social media campaign to raise awareness about young student caregivers. Through this campaign, we hope to highlight the important role that young people play in supporting others, while also juggling student responsibilities on campuses across Ontario. This campaign will help promote OCO's resources and peer support programing for young caregivers.

We are looking for young caregiver volunteers to share their experiences as a caregiver and a student. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of young caregivers on Ontario post-secondary campuses while helping other young caregivers feel less isolated in the care they provide.

  • Honorarium for involvement: $50.00

What will be expected of me?

Approximately 1-2 hours of your time including:

  • Prepare your own story with support from OCO
  • Record a clip, include a photo, or share your story anonymously
  • Allow OCO to share your story on social media and/or the OCO website

How do I participate?

If you, or someone you know, is interested in participating in our social media campaign, please email joym@ontariocaregiver.ca by September 8, 2026. We greatly value your participation!
