Are you interested in hearing from future healthcare professionals about their ideas for PSW education that is focused on the needs and experience of caregivers?
OCO is partnering with CACHE (Centre for Advancing Collaborative Education in Healthcare) and CAPE (Collaborative Advocacy and Partnered Education) on a project that brings together students from different healthcare programs to address a real-world healthcare challenge. Student teams are developing practical ideas to help Personal Support Workers (PSWs) better identify, engage, and support family caregivers as partners in care. Building on existing resources from OCO and CAPE - an organization that specializes in PSW education - the goal is to create solutions that are realistic, sustainable, and could be implemented in practice.
Students will present their final ideas to a panel of judges on March 25 at University Health Network in Toronto. The public is welcome to attend in person, or virtually. Please see attached flyer for further detail.
